Beverly Lanier
Diagnosed in 2004 with liver cancer hepatocellular carcinoma, 50-year old Beverly Lanier decided not to accept her doctor's prognosis that she only had three years to live. After two surgeries to remove the cancer, it returned a third time. At this point, Beverly was told she needed a liver transplant. She did some research, turned to Houston Methodist, and six months later underwent a successful transplant surgery.
Since her transplant, not only has Beverly not experienced the negative side effects that some patients do, but her nurse actually had to tell her to slow down and take time to recover! Beverly feels great and is thankful for the treatment she received at Houston Methodist.
