Research Toolbox
Houston Methodist Scholars is our network of faculty profiles, powered by Elsevier Pure. It aggregates the organization's research information from internal and external sources. Scholars provides our faculty with access to a global network of collaborators and subject matter experts, and information about their publication record and key areas of expertise.
Our investigators have access to Scopus, a large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature that delivers a comprehensive overview of the world's research output in the fields of science, technology and medicine and provides smart tools you can use to track, analyze and visualize research. Scopus brings you more than 22,000 titles (from 5,000 publishers), more than 6 million conference papers, cross-searches of more than 25 million patents, 54 million records (going as far back as 1823) and sophisticated search, discover and analysis tools.
Through the ISI Web of Knowledgeâ„¢, our faculty have access to Journal Citation reports and the Web of Science citation database, which provides access to the 12,000 journals and more than 160,000 conference proceedings in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities.
Houston Methodist researchers and administrators have access to Funding Institutional, a single-source tool containing data on funders, funding opportunities and awarded grants, drawn from a wide range of governmental and private sources. Using this tool can help you identify interest areas and assess the funding landscape so you can maximize the competitiveness of your proposal. Register for a Funding Institutional account to get tailored alerts about funding opportunities you qualify for and match your research interests.
Houston Methodist faculty and staff have access to EndNote for bibliography management. To request installation on your device, contact the IT Help Desk.
