Houston Methodist Primary Care Group is four months away from opening a new primary care practice which will serve adults and children in Northwest Houston and surrounding communities. The facility is located at 7105 Farm-to-Market 2920, one block west from TC Jester Boulevard in the French Quarter Shopping Center.

The newly constructed 7200-square-feet facility, which is expected to open in May 2015, will eventually house up to six board-certified primary care physicians. For nearly a year, executives from Houston Methodist Primary Care Group, explored sites before choosing the location of the practice. Efforts to root the facility at its current location along FM 2920 intensified in the summer of 2014 when developers broke ground at the new site.

“It’s important for our primary care physicians to have an increased presence in the expanding Spring community and rooting this facility in this community will also enable patients whose medical condition warrant more intensive care to have easy access to Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital,” said Ronald Heft, regional administrator, Houston Methodist Primary Care Group.

Family medicine and primary care physicians Sabari Sundarraj, M.D., and Pheba Zachariah, M.D., will be the first to occupy the facility. The physicians will relocate their current offices at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital to the new facility when it opens in the spring.

The new primary care facility will have 18 treatment rooms and will offer a range of services including adolescent and pediatric care, preventive care, physical exams, the treatment of hypertension and certain diseases including depression.
