When and where is Houston Methodist's Annual Nurses Gala?
Who is invited to Houston Methodist's Annual Nurses Gala?
This event is only open to nurses, including PRNs, currently employed with Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston Methodist Baytown, Houston Methodist Clear Lake, Houston Methodist Continuing Care, Houston Methodist Cypress, Houston Methodist Sugar Land, Houston Methodist West, Houston Methodist Willowbrook, and Houston Methodist The Woodlands, and their guests (one each). No one under 18 will be admitted.
What if I forget to purchase a ticket for my guest after registering?
Registration is now closed. You can no longer modify your registration.
What is the process for admission?
Only your employee badge will allow entrance. This is your only ticket for you and your guest. If you register a guest, you must arrive with your guest for them to be checked in and receive food and drink tickets. Your employee badge will be scanned upon entrance to the Marriott Marquis, so please do not arrive separately from your guest. There will not be registration tables. There will not be tickets sold at the door.
If I can’t go, can I give my registration to someone else?
No, registration to the event is non-transferable. Registration fees are nonrefundable.
Will I be able to register at the event?
You will NOT be able to register at the event. You must register prior to the gala’s registration deadline. Registration is now closed.
If I pay and then am unable to attend, will I receive a refund?
No refunds will be issued.
Is there a discount code to use to book a room at the Marriott Marquis?
Yes, there will be Houston Methodist room blocks at the following hotel:
- Marriott Marquis Houston – Book your discounted group rate of $295 per night, plus fees for the Houston Methodist Nurses Gala Room Block. Reservation Deadline for discounted rate/room block was April 5, 2024.
Will parking be provided?
Parking will be available for a reduced rate in the Avenida North Parking Garage. There are entrances via Rusk and Capitol Streets. Access to hotel via the sky bridge on the 2nd floor. Valet will also be available.
If parking in the Marriott parking garage or valet please remember to bring your parking ticket inside to validate and receive a discounted rate.
Valet- $36 plus tax
Self-parking- $18 plus tax
Discounted overnight parking (with room reservation in room block)- $42 plus tax
Will there be assigned seating?
There is no assigned seating for this event. There is not a seated dinner, but several buffets placed throughout the facility. Please mingle with your colleagues and enjoy flexible seating.
What food will be available?
We will have buffet-style meals located outside the ballroom. Please note, the buffet will be open from 7:30-10 pm. There will be a reduced amount of food available 9:30-10 pm. All food service will end at 10 pm.
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, there will be a full bar and each guest will receive one (1) complimentary drink ticket for alcoholic beverages. Additional alcoholic drink tickets will be available for purchase on the day of upon arrival to the venue.
Non-alcoholic drinks will be free. Sodas and water are unlimited.
What if I forget to bring my employee badge the day of the event?
The Help Desk will be located in front of the ballroom for those who forget their employee badges. While our volunteers will do their absolute best to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible, there might be a delay in entrance for you and your guest if you forget your badge. Please plan ahead and make sure you bring your badge with you to the event. This is your ticket for you and your guest.

The dress code is cocktail or formal. Feel free to dress according to the glow theme with vibrant and fun neon colors!
