Everything You Need to Know About Your Stay at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital
Hospital Services

Guest Relations

A team of patient liaisons is available to help patients and visitors with any questions, concerns or special requests that may arise during their hospital stay. A liaison is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding major holidays, at 281.333.8877.

Spiritual Care

Regardless of your religion or faith, Houston Methodist’s Department of Spiritual Care and Values Integration strives to provide you with resources to fulfill your spiritual needs while in the hospital. Chaplains are available throughout your stay to help address the emotional and spiritual needs of you and your guests. They can meet with you to provide support directly, provide you with meaningful faith-based support resources, or assist you in contacting a representative of your faith tradition.

Our chapel and other sacred spaces are open 24/7. If you have an urgent need, call your nurse or the hospital operator and ask for the on-call chaplain. Additionally, you can submit confidential prayer requests 24/7 by texting the word "prayer" to 45991, emailing hmclchaplains@houstonmethodist.org, or calling 281.523.2484.

Volunteers

Volunteers are a key part of our hospital. They contribute their time, services and energy to help you have a more pleasant stay. You will find them throughout the hospital. They are happy to serve you, so let them know if they can help.

Most volunteer programs are accessible on weekdays during business hours. Some may include after hours or weekends.

For more information or to find out how our volunteers can help you, visit houstonmethodist.org/giving/volunteer/volunteer-opportunities/clear-lake or call 281.523.3422.

Food & Nutrition Services

The Food and Nutrition Services department is pleased to offer you our “Treat Yourself” menu. We offer a wide variety of hot and cold nutritious choices within your doctor-prescribed diet order. We understand that each meal we provide should also contribute to your wellbeing. Our goal is to exceed your expectations and enhance your stay.

Our food and nutrition host will take your meal order by your bedside, or you can order via your MyChart account. Once in MyChart, tap on the Let’s Eat icon and place your order. If you have questions about our services, please call 281.523.2102. It is our pleasure to assist you.

Your diet order may change several times while you are in the hospital due to tests, procedures or clinical course of treatment. Please ask to see a registered dietitian if you have questions about your diet.

Advance Directives

Advance directives are legal documents that allow you to explain and share your wishes for medical treatment to your family, health care professionals and other key people in your life. These directives are sometimes called living wills or medical powers of attorney. A reasonable effort will be made to obtain copies of your advance directives. You may ask us to assist you in completing advance directives during your hospital stay, if needed. Advance directives do not affect your access to care, treatment or services.

Let a member of your health care team know if you would like additional information or assistance completing advance directives. You may also visit houstonmethodist.org/advance-directives to learn more.
