Dr. Emily Rutledge is a urogynecologist who specializes in both the medical and surgical treatment of pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.

A native Texan, Dr. Rutledge completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to complete her medical degree and Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Rutledge completed her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2022. After fellowship, Dr. Rutledge chose to remain at Houston Methodist Hospital to join the Division of Urogynecology.

Dr. Rutledge has a strong passion for providing patient-centered care both in the clinic and in the operating room. She enjoys providing minimally invasive surgical options to patients to address their pelvic floor needs. Owing to her Cuban heritage, Dr. Rutledge speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys providing care to the large Spanish-speaking population of Houston. Her research interests include medical education and improving patient education on pelvic floor disorders.
