Global Transformational Leadership
Global Transformational Leadership is our signature global leadership program at Houston Methodist. This three-week course equips participants with tools to spearhead OR affect real organizational change. The program takes a holistic approach by giving participants exposure to both behind-the-scenes operations and Houston Methodist’s signature leadership training workshops.
The curriculum is tailored to the unique objectives of each learner, but includes core curriculum for all participants to:
- Assess leadership acumen to determine which skills to strengthen
- Describe various communication styles and their impact on the workplace
- Identify strategies to build and sustain an engaging work environment
- Implement processes to coach for performance and for future development
- Create habits to build resilience in self and within the team
- Participate in studies led by subject matter experts, using actual challenges learners are facing within their current roles
- Engage in individual meetings and shadowing experiences with Houston Methodist leaders
Additionally, the program includes exposure to unique cultural experiences across Houston, including the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, NASA Johnson Space Center and other key attractions.
Audience and Eligibility: Physicians in health care management, nursing leadership, division and department leaders, senior administrators, service-line leaders, human resources, finance, information technology, supply chain, marketing and other administrative leadership positions. Participants should have significant responsibilities, including experience leading projects and managing teams, as well as a demonstrated career progression. English proficiency is required.
