Global Innovative Leadership and Development
Houston Methodist’s Global Innovative Leadership and Development course is a one-week, compact leadership development course giving participants exposure to a unique combination of leadership development tools and tangible best practices within select hospital operations. This experience is designed to expose learners to key members of the Houston Methodist leadership team (both clinical and nonclinical) and the leadership skills used daily by team members to successfully run operations within a leading U.S.-based hospital.
The curriculum is tailored to the unique objectives of each learner and includes breakout sessions with relevant subject matter experts. Each participant also benefits from core content that includes:
- “The Houston Methodist Leader" course that teaches learners how to inspire, engage, serve and sustain his or her team
- Strategic planning workshops
- Strategies for creating and sustaining a culture of innovation
- Patient safety and continuous improvement
Audience and Eligibility: Physicians in health care management, nursing leadership, division and department leaders, senior administrators, service-line leaders, human resources, finance, information technology, supply chain, marketing and other administrative leadership positions. Participants should have significant responsibilities, including experience leading projects and managing teams, as well as a demonstrated career progression. English proficiency is required.
