Our Research

Our researchers are making great strides in areas such as regenerative medicine, surgical infection prevention, growth factors for tissue recovery in arthritis cases, and imaging for improved preoperative evaluation and surgical planning. Houston Methodist has also developed and progressed orthopedic devices and procedures implemented worldwide.

Our faculty collaborate with the Center for Musculoskeletal Regeneration, a multidisciplinary translational research laboratory that recognizes that the body has incredible healing capabilities and works to harness these to their fullest potential for drug delivery and tissue engineering applications. Our team also works with the Center for Human Performance, an innovation hub for the development of next generation human performance devices, technologies and training regimens.
