Education & Training

Our residents also benefit from our residency wellness programs, including a bi-annual wellness retreat.

The team at Houston Methodist emphasizes academics and encourages faculty to develop mentorships with our residents and fellows. In addition to routine lectureships and a didactic curriculum, our faculty members emphasize the research component of teaching, making it a requirement for graduation.

Our morbidity/mortality conferences, tumor board conferences, pre-operative conferences and didactic weekly conferences for residents often include national and international experts.
