Clinical Programs
Our clinical programs provide health care professionals the opportunity to observe even rare neurological conditions and the integrative approaches we use to treat the whole patient.
The Cerebrovascular Center offers treatment for virtually every disease that affects the blood vessels in the brain and spinal cord — from the most common to the rarest cerebrovascular conditions: brain aneurysms, brain and spinal vascular malformations, carotid atherosclerotic disease, carotid-cavernous fistulas, cavernous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, cranial and spinal dural fistulas, head, neck, and facial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), intracranial atherosclerotic disease, moyamoya disease.
The Chiari Malformation Program offers expert diagnosis and treatment for patients with Chiari malformation. These malformations are structural defects in the cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance, and can affect both children and adults.
Functional & Movement Disorder Surgical Program
The Functional and Movement Disorder Program (F&MD) focuses on treating patients with conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, spasticity, chronic pain, and some behavioral disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disease. Surgical treatment for these conditions primarily involves implanting devices that help control symptoms.
Hydrocephalus Program
The Hydrocephalus Program expertly manages all varieties of hydrocephalus with a specialized multidisciplinary team providing the latest techniques to optimize patient outcomes. The program provides the most advanced cerebrospinal fluid diversion techniques from various shunt options to minimally invasive endoscopic techniques.
Kenneth R. Peak Brain & Pituitary Tumor Treatment Center
Kenneth R. Peak Center for Brain and Pituitary Tumor Treatment and Research provides world-class personalized neurosurgical and oncological treatments for patients with brain, spine and pituitary tumors in a compassionate environment geared toward scientific advances, education, and research.
The Neuropsychiatry Clinic examines the relationship between the brain, neuroscience and human behavior. Our neuropsychiatrists work with colleagues in neurology, neuropsychology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology to evaluate complex neuropsychiatric disorders and to formulate coordinated multimodal therapies to treat a variety of patients.
Pain Management Center provides effective symptom management, functional rehabilitation and improved quality of life for patients suffering from pain.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation division delivers leading-edge rehabilitation services to help patients reclaim and restore optimal functional ability and quality of life following disease, illness, or disabilities, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, sports injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
Spine and Peripheral Nerve Center
The Spine and Peripheral Center offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to the management of a wide variety of disorders affecting the spine. Spinal neurosurgeons work in collaboration with neurologists, neuroradiologists, orthopedic surgeons, pain management specialists, and rehabilitation experts to provide the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for every patient.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program
The Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program offers a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach committed to advancing the latest in stereotactic radiosurgery clinical care, research, and education. Our research efforts include new approaches to applying treatment and targeting lesions, as well as basic studies of radiation effects in cancer models.
The Neurosurgery Robotics Program uses cutting edge equipment and is one of the most advanced and comprehensive in the country. The program uses robotics in both cranial and spinal surgery to improve patient outcomes.
The Center for Neuroregeneration focuses on collaborative problem solving and bioengineering approaches that are incubated within our research laboratories but also through strategic partnerships with clinical and biotherapeutic entities.
