Biography

Dr. Alsafadi completed internal medicine residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in affiliation with Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, followed by a fellowship in infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine in affiliation with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. 

Description of Research

Dr. Alsafadi has years of experience in treating patients with challenging infections like endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and device related infections. Furthermore, he prescribes PrEP and has added expertise in the management of HIV and AIDS-defining illnesses. Dr. Alsafadi is a leader in antimicrobial stewardship, outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT), and quality improvement in the practice infectious diseases.
