Biography

Dr. Andrew Farach is an associate professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Houston Methodist Hospital. His interest and special procedures are in breast cancer, brain cancer, gynecologic cancer, lung cancer, hepatobiliary cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lymphoma, brachytherapy, stereotactic radiation/surgery.

Dr. Farach earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center and his radiation oncology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. He became Director of Brachytherapy in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Houston Methodist in 2018.  Dr. Farach is active in ASTRO (American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology), ACR (American College of Radiology), and the Texas Radiological Society (TRS). Dr. Farach has published peer-reviewed articles on topics such as SBRT outcomes in lung cancer, radiation and immunotherapy for breast cancer, and liver regeneration after SBRT. He plays an important role in cancer patient care, clinical research and the education of residents and students.
