About Your Visit
We want to make sure your visit to Houston and your care at Houston Methodist are as smooth and simple as possible. Below, we have compiled a guide for how to prepare for your trip and what you will need to bring and do along the way.
Before Your Visit to Houston
Please contact our Global Health Care Services team if you are interested in care from our doctors and providers. The Global Health Care Services team members are highly trained and experienced in working with international patients. They will assist you throughout your experience and help you to navigate the process.
We will gather information about your condition, including all recent medical records and tests, such as CT (computed tomography) scans, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans and X-rays. These records must be in English.
Once our medical director reviews your records and determines which of our doctors would best be able to care for you, we will arrange your appointment. You will work with a dedicated patient liaison, who will speak your language and provide support and language assistance during your care with us.
During Your Houston Visit
When you arrive in Houston for your appointment, your first stop should be the Global Health Care Services office. We are located at 6560 Fannin St., Scurlock Tower, Suite 570 (fifth floor), Houston, Texas 77030. There, you will meet with your dedicated patient liaison, who will help you check in to our system and escort you to your appointments.
In addition to our world-class health care, Houston has a great deal to offer international travelers. From comfortable hotels to unmatched leisure activities, dining options and entertainment, there is much to see and experience here. Plan your itinerary with our Visiting Houston Guide.
