Sara grew up in Cypress, Texas. She completed her pre-requisites at the University of Houston prior to receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Houston in 2024. Her current practice interests include critical care and emergency medicine. She hopes to pursue a PGY2 residency in critical care next year. In her free time, she enjoys walking her Pomeranian Stella, bouldering, and trying new restaurants in Houston.

Azzam Yazji, PharmD
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Azzam was born and raised in Syria, and he moved to the United States in 2013 while in middle school. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Houston in 2023. His current practice interests include hematology/oncology to which he has early committed to the Houston Methodist Hospital - Texas Medical Center PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency for the 2025-2026 residency year.  In his free time, he enjoys playing piano, spending time with family and friends and learning new languages.

Continuing education program: Navigating emergent cancer-associated structural complications: superior vena cava syndrome, spinal cord compression, bowel obstruction and elevated intracranial pressure
