Required Learning Experiences (all one month in duration, except as noted)
Electives may be selected from, but are not limited to, the following:
*Additional elective learning experiences (bone marrow transplant, cardiology, neurology, pain management, psychiatry, and solid organ transplant) at our system’s flagship 900-bed teaching hospital in the Texas Medical Center, based on resident’s schedule and preceptor availability.

Electives may be selected from, but are not limited to, the following:
- 340B Operations/Specialty Pharmacy
- Academia
- Hematology/Oncology (Ambulatory Care Setting)
- Emergency Medicine
- Potential off-site opportunities*

- Staffing will occur every 3rd weekend and one evening shift every 2 weeks in clinical and operational pharmacist roles
- Residents will work one major and one minor holiday

Research Experience
- Major research project with guidance of a preceptor and the Pharmacy Research Committee
- Medication use evaluation or quality analysis of existing protocols

Optional Longitudinal Experience
- Teaching and Scholarship in Academia Certificate Program through the University of Houston College of Pharmacy
