Join Our Weill Cornell Medical College Affiliated Adult Neurology Residency

Our four-year accredited adult neurology residence program offers comprehensive training in clinical neurology and mentorship in the clinical and basic sciences that provides a strong foundation for the practicing neurologist and physician-scientist. The program has a high faculty-to-resident ratio, which allows residents access to training yet also challenges them to be life-long learners.

Center for Neural Systems Restoration

Houston Methodist and Rice University established the joint Center for Neural Systems Restoration to serve as an innovation hub dedicated to advancing the frontiers of translational neuroscience, to understanding the function of the human brain, and to developing next-generation technologies, neural prosthetics and rehabilitation regimens for the treatment of neurological conditions. This joint collaborative space and environment nurtures functional interactions between engineers and researchers at Rice and neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, and regeneration biologists at Houston Methodist.
Neuroscience PhD Program

New Ivy League Neuroscience PhD Program

Houston Methodist initially collaborated with the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences (WCGS) to offer a doctoral program in Physiology, Biophysics, and Systems Biology (PBSB), which recently accepted its third class of students. In 2023, WCGS expanded its PhD program in Neuroscience to Houston Methodist with its first class of students. This new program spans basic, translational and clinical research.
