About Dr. Zeenat Safdar
"As a health care professional, my goal is to tailor care of each patient individualized to their complex pulmonary problems in a compassionate and caring manner."
Dr. Zeenat Safdar is a Professor of Medicine, the Ashley Lain Barras Distinguished Chair in Pulmonology, and a board‑certified pulmonary and critical care physician. She serves as medical director of the Houston Methodist Lung Center and Pulmonary Fibrosis Center, specializing in pulmonary hypertension, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary AV malformations, and other complex lung conditions.
She is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where she teaches EnMed and Texas A&M medical students. Dr. Safdar maintains an active clinical research portfolio, including clinical trials, registries, and investigator‑initiated studies in pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung diseases, and is committed to mentoring the next generation of pulmonologists.
