About Dr. Yihharn P. Hwang
My philosophy of care is tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances and needs because I believe in the power of individualized care. My commitment to providing outstanding care stems from a deep passion for women's health and a dedication to the well-being of my patients. With a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine, I merge objective analysis with empathetic understanding to create a caring and trusting environment. I aim to empower every patient I meet, fostering a partnership that ensures that their health journey is respected, understood and cherished.
Dr. Yihharn Hwang is an Ohio native who found her way to Texas during her OBGYN residency training. She received her undergraduate degree at Davidson College in North Carolina. She completed medical school at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio and went on to pursue residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. During her training, she developed a deep understanding of the complexities of women's health, gaining hands-on experience in various areas such as prenatal care, labor and delivery, family planning, and gynecologic surgeries. Additionally, she was recognized for multiple teaching awards during her time in residency, including the Gold Humanism Excellence in Teaching Award.
When Dr. Hwang is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her twin girls and their Wheaten terrier.
