About Dr. Tina Motazedi
I’m excited to practice in the field of Allergy & Immunology at Houston Methodist Hospital. I enjoy getting to know my patients, understanding their concerns, and working together with them to offer the best quality of care. My aim is to provide state-of-the-art medical treatment to all my patients.
Dr. Motazedi received her bachelor's degree in Chemistry & Mathematics from Williams College with Honors. After graduation she joined the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment to conduct cancer health outcomes research with a focus on improving quality and cost-effectiveness of medical care. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency Training at Baylor College of Medicine. As a resident she received the Goodfriend Ambulatory Care Award for excellent performance in patient care, as well as the award for Outstanding Resident Teacher. She completed her Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School where she trained under experts and pioneers in the field. During her training she was involved in research and joined the Anthony laboratory at the Center for Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases. There she studied the pattern and role of antibody glycosylation as biomarkers of allergic diseases. She also studied the antibody characteristics of patients with COVID-19 vaccine allergic reactions. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. She is truly excited to return to Houston and be able to serve her community.
