Nicole M. Tapia, MD is a General Surgeon, double-board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and brings 10 years of experience to her practice. Dr. Tapia provides exceptional surgical care for elective and critically ill patients while training surgery residents in clinical and operative skills, emphasizing technical excellence, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care. Her expertise includes treatment of conditions such as appendicitis, gallbladder disease, abdominal wall and inguinal hernias, and diverticulitis, among others. Dr. Tapia is deeply committed to improving surgical patient outcomes and leads research evaluating Acute Care Surgery Clinical Outcomes to further advance patient care. As NSQIP Surgeon Champion for the Department of Surgery, she actively contributes to quality and safety initiatives and was recently appointed Dunn 8 Medical Director.
