Centennial Partners Lecture
We celebrated marquee honorees the Houston Astros. We also recognized our many academic, arts, sports, and community health care partners throughout the Houston community – and beyond.
Houston Methodist has had a long, strong relationship with the Houston Astros that started in 1962 when they were named Colt .45s. Houston Methodist physicians would attend spring training camp and conduct physicals.
Houston Astros are a member of the American League West division in Major League Baseball. The two-time AL West Division Champs, three-time NL West Division Champs, four-time NL Central Division Champs and 2017 World Champions strive to win future championships through the development of players within the organization and maintaining talent.
Through the Astros corporate partnerships and the Astros Foundation’s efforts, the Astros are passionate about making a strong impact in the Greater Houston community.
