Bariatric Surgery
The Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Surgical Weight Loss Program has achieved national accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The MBSAQIP is a joint program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). The MBSAQIP recognizes weight loss surgery programs that meet national quality standards and provide safe, high-quality bariatric patient care.
The Surgical Weight Loss Center at Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is designed to help people who are significantly overweight or suffer from morbid obesity (BMI>40 or BMI between 35 to 39.9 with significant comorbidities). Our goal is to help those in need of a solution to this life threatening disease and to assist patients in achieving their weight loss goals.
