Graduate Medical Education
Houston Methodist has a long tradition of training physicians in various medical and surgical specialties. Our residents and fellows join Houston Methodist from throughout the U.S. and to prestigious fellowship opportunities at institutions including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Weill Cornell PhD
The mission of the WCGS program at the Houston campus is to mentor a new generation of leaders in biomedical research. Our trainees will generate fundamental insights that transform medical care. They will learn how to effectively work in scientific teams while also developing their own ideas.
EnMed MEng/MD
The EnMed program, founded in 2019, is a collaboration between Texas A&M’s School of Engineering Medicine and the state’s top-ranked Houston Methodist Hospital established to transform health care through the development and training of physicianeers, the creation of medical technologies, and translational research.
The Bookout Center
The Bookout Center is an innovative virtual hospital and hands-on clinical training facility for health care professionals seeking to maintain and develop new, excellent procedural skills. We improve patient safety through hands-on training with experienced mentors and conducting research on skills acquisition and technological development.
Postdoctoral Fellowships
Houston Methodist provides a unique environment for postdoctoral researchers on career paths to leadership in translational medicine. Our postdoctoral researchers work with multidisciplinary teams to identify clinically relevant challenges, and develop research projects that translate into technological advances in the clinic.
Trainee Resources
The Office of Graduate Studies and Trainee Affairs (OGSTA) supports the development of an academic and translational research environment for all research trainees at Houston Methodist.
