Community Grants Overview
Houston Methodist is committed to investing in its surrounding community, providing access to health care while addressing non-medical drivers of health which can lead to poor health outcomes. Our investments focus on the communities most served by Houston Methodist which include the eight counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller.
Houston Methodist offers funding opportunities through two grant programs, the Community Benefits Grant Program and the Nonmedical Drivers of Health Grant Program, focusing on the priorities outlined in the latest Community Health Needs Assessment. The Community Benefits Grant Program focuses on increasing access to health care for uninsured and underinsured individuals and offers the Community Benefits Grant and the Mental Health Innovation Grant. The Nonmedical Drivers of Health Grant Program focuses on healthy neighborhoods, economic empowerment and educational empowerment.
