Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Fellowship
The Houston Methodist Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Fellowship Program is fully accredited by ACGME and accepts two new fellows each year. The program is designed to develop the careers of future colleagues and leaders in community and academic pulmonary and/or critical care practice.
PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency
The pharmacist completing this residency program shall be able to independently and confidently provide pharmaceutical care for the critically ill patient in order to achieve optimal pharmacotherapeutic outcomes and will be competitive for a position as a critical care pharmacist working in the areas of critical care, emergency medicine, or transplant.
Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
This one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship program exposes fellows to high acuity, critically ill patients reflecting the breadth and depth of practice expected of the modern surgical intensivist.
Critical Care Physical Therapy Residency
This Critical Care Fellowship offers extensive didactic coursework including more than 25 classes and the opportunity to engage in Grand Rounds by multiple service lines. The fellows rotate through five different ICUs with a clinical mentor assigned to each rotation and participate in critiquing and synthesizing research for use in practice for the critically ill and incorporating sound research conclusions into their practice
Houston Methodist and Texas A&M University have launched a joint program that integrates medical education and research with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship to empower future professionals with the clinical skills to diagnose symptoms and treat patients along with the engineering mindset to solve problems, invent new technologies, and rapidly move these innovative ideas to practice in patient care.
Mentored Research Clinical Research Training Program
The program offers junior physicians at Weill Cornell and Houston Methodist a fast-track program to acquire the skillset to develop a clinical research project proposal and embark on a clinical research career pathway. Following an intensive, four-day workshop, trainees develop their own clinical research projects with guidance from experienced clinical researchers at Weill Cornell and/or Houston Methodist.
Institute for Technology, Innovation & Education (MITIE) Virtual Hospital
MITIE trains today’s clinicians with hands-on courses and provides the resources they need to develop the procedural skills they need to deliver the highest quality and safest care to their patients.
