Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
In our residency program we strive to provide our learners with an inclusive learning environment where we celebrate our different backgrounds. Our resident-led Diversity Committee has organized multiple events throughout the year to highlight diversity, equity and inclusion at HMH.

Several of our residents are members of the Women's Empowerment Alliance, an employee-led group that empowers women to advocate for personal and professional goals while simultaneously supporting local community efforts.
In collaboration with our academic affiliate Texas A&M and our own office of DEI, we continue to develop a curriculum for our residents including topics such as microaggressions at the workplace, social and racial disparities in medicine and LGTBQ+ Health. Our goal is to train our residents to become culturally inclusive and competent practicing physicians.
