Cerebrovascular Center – delivers sophisticated, compassionate care to treat the most common to the rarest cerebrovascular conditions that affect the blood vessels of the brain and spinal cord, helping you return to a full life.
Chiari Malformation Program – provide expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of this complex brain and nervous system disorder that causes part of the brain to push into the spinal canal, presenting a range of symptoms that vary in severity.
Comprehensive Epilepsy Program – serves as the single point of entry for patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders referred to Houston Methodist Hospital.
Concussion Center – provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for individuals who have had a concussion.
Eddy Scurlock Stroke Center – the first DNV-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in the U.S., the center has been recognized as one of the best in stroke diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.
Functional and Movement Disorder Surgical Program – focuses on treating patients with functional and movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, spasticity, chronic pain and some behavioral disorders, including obsessive compulsive disease.
Hydrocephalus Program – Our passionate team combines decades of specialized expertise to diagnose and manage all types of hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid deep within the brain.
Kenneth R. Peak Brain & Pituitary Tumor Treatment Center – provides world-class personalized neurosurgical and oncological treatments for patients with brain, spine and pituitary tumors.
MDA/ALSA ALS Clinic – the first multidisciplinary care clinic for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in the U.S.
Myotonic Dystrophy Clinic – delivers multidisciplinary care for patients with myotonic dystrophy (DM), the most common form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy, which causes progressive muscle problems, including muscle weakness, trouble relaxing a muscle and muscle wasting.
Movement Disorders Clinic – devoted to care and research for patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, which affect much more than movement, including thinking, emotion, behavior and the autonomic nervous system.
Nantz National Alzheimer Center – a world-renowned research and referral center, treating thousands of Alzheimer's patients each year with comprehensive and compassionate care to help slow memory loss and progression and improve quality of life.
Neuromuscular Clinic – uses a multidisciplinary approach to assist patients with neuromuscular diseases in living with their condition and apply the latest therapies and proactive symptom management in a positive and caring setting.
Neuropsychiatry Clinic – specialized care for patients with treatment-resistant mood disorders, dementias and cognitive disorders with behavioral and psychotic complications, as well as patients with mood and behavior changes related to brain injury from trauma, surgery or stroke.
Pain Management Center – provides effective symptom management, functional rehabilitation and improved quality of life for patients suffering from pain.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Division – delivers leading-edge rehabilitation services to help patients reclaim and restore optimal functional ability and quality of life following disease, illness or disabilities, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, sports injuries and traumatic brain injuries.
Robotic Neurosurgery Program – uses robots and robotic assistance in the OR to facilitate highly precise movements through small incisions, resulting in improved clinical results, decreased scar tissue, less pain, less trauma, reduced bleeding and an overall shorter recovery period.
Speech and Language Center – provides diagnosis and treatment for even the most complex neurological disorders that affect voice and speech, such as aphasia (loss of ability to speak, write or understand language), apraxia, dysarthria, dysphonia and stuttering.
Spine and Peripheral Nerve Center – offers expert care for both common and complex spinal conditions. One of the only teams in Houston with expertise in endoscopic spine surgery, a minimally invasive technique allowing surgeons to operate on common spine problems using an incision only a few millimeters long.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program – uses highly specialized stereotactic radiosurgery equipment to focus beams of radiation only where they are needed to treat brain and spinal tumors, vascular lesions or neurologic conditions without damaging healthy brain tissue.
